Terms and Conditions of Sale for Royal Blinds

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected by these terms and conditions of sale.

  1. INTRODUCTION 1.1 These terms and conditions apply when you place an order with Royal Blinds. 1.2 Certain terms used throughout these conditions are defined in section 13. 1.3 We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions before you place your order, and any changes will be effective upon posting on our website. Please review these terms each time you use our website. 1.4 We recommend printing and saving these terms and any email correspondence for future reference.

  2. SPECIFICATION OF GOODS 2.1 You are responsible for providing accurate measurements using our Measuring Guide. 2.2 Once you place an order, you'll receive a confirmation email that you should check carefully, as we cannot accept returns for made-to-measure goods. 2.3 All measurements are in centimeters (CM). 2.4 Sizes and measurements are approximate. 2.5 Items have a working tolerance and variances of +/-5mm; returns cannot be accepted within this limit. 2.6 Please note that:

    • Colors may vary due to monitor differences.

    • Matching sets may have slight variations.

    • Fabric texture and feel may not be accurately reflected online, so we recommend ordering free samples. 2.7 For exact color matching or fabric inspection, we offer a free sampling service for made-to-measure products.

  3. PRICE AND PAYMENT 3.1 The price you pay is the one displayed on our website when we receive your order, subject to change. 3.2 All prices are in UK £s sterling and include applicable VAT. 3.3 While we aim for accurate pricing, errors may occur. We will notify you of any pricing errors and offer you the option to confirm or cancel your order. 3.4 Title to goods passes to you upon delivery after full payment.

  4. ORDER PROCESS AND CONTRACT FORMATION 4.1 To create a sale contract:

    • Follow the instructions on our website to place your order.

    • Your payment is not an acceptance of your order.

    • Your order is subject to our acceptance.

    • You'll receive an order confirmation, which you should check carefully.

    • Contract acceptance for mainland UK and Northern Ireland deliveries is upon order acceptance email.

    • For other regions, contract acceptance depends on agreed additional delivery charges.

  5. DELIVERY 5.1 Goods are delivered to mainland UK and Northern Ireland addresses. We also deliver to specific regions as part of non-standard delivery services. 5.2 An adult aged 18 or over must sign for delivery. 5.3 Delivery charges and estimated timescales are on our website. We strive to meet estimated delivery times but delays can occur. 5.4 You can track your order status on our website and receive email updates. 5.5 Risk of loss and damage passes to you upon delivery. 5.6 Report damaged goods within 7 days for a replacement. Missing items must be reported within 7 days.

  6. SUBSTITUTE GOODS 6.1 We do not supply substitute goods.

  7. CANCELLATION RIGHTS AND RETURNS 7.1 "Made to measure" goods cannot be amended, canceled, returned, or refunded, as they are manufactured to your exact specifications. 7.2 For non-made to measure products, the ICAC Regs apply, allowing cancellation within 14 days of receiving the goods. To cancel, send a cancellation notice to our returns address. 7.3 If you cancel:

    • You can return the goods to us unless they are not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described.

    • We will arrange collection or reimburse reasonable return delivery costs.

    • You must re-pack and take care of the goods.

    • We will refund the goods' price within 14 days, less non-standard delivery costs.

  8. GUARANTEE 8.1 Our goods are guaranteed against defects from the order date:

    • 5-year guarantee for blinds and made-to-measure curtains.

    • 2-year guarantee for Somfy lithium-ion batteries and Somfy Hubs. 8.2 We will repair or replace defective goods, provided defects are not due to wear and tear, misuse, non-domestic use, or improper installation.

  9. GENERAL 9.1 English law governs contracts between you and us, with disputes resolved in English courts. 9.2 Our liability to business users is limited to the product's replacement value, except for death, personal injury, or fraud. We do not accept liability for business use fitness or consequential loss.

  10. MEASUREGUARD 10.1 MeasureGuard covers all 'made to measure' blinds (not ready-made). 10.2 Notify us of incorrect measurements within 14 days. 10.3 Return incorrectly measured blinds at your expense to initiate replacements. 10.4 We produce replacements upon receiving the originals. 10.5 Replacements must match type, color, fabric, and options but differ in size. 10.6 You may need to pay any cost difference. 10.7 MeasureGuard can be used once per original order. 10.8 It's not available for trade, wholesale, or contract orders.
